The Scituate Police Department strives to ensure public safety by providing responsive, professional police services to residents, businesses and visitors by promoting community based policing in collaboration with citizens, schools and municipal officials.

It is HIGHLY recommended that all visitors use the Greenbush MBTA parking lot and available shuttle bus to travel to the Harbor area. Please pay attention to Officers on duty at the event and do not hesitate to approach an Officer to answer any questions you may have.

Please remember that consumption of alcoholic beverages in public is prohibited in the Town of Scituate and will be enforced throughout the event. This is a wonderful event and the Scituate Police Department will be working diligently to ensure the safety of all particpants and visitors.

HERITAGE DAYS INFORMATION

The upcoming Heritage Days event will take place on 8/5, 8/6 and 8/7. This is an event that is enjoyed by many people throughout the weekend. The event does draw a large number of visitors to the Harbor area and does create traffic, parking and safety concerns.

The parking rules will be strictly enforced throughout the Harbor area during the entire event. Citations will be issued and vehicles will be towed if necessary. All restricted and no parking areas will be clearly marked by cones, barricades and signs. There will be no parking on Kent Street except for the northbound (marsh) side of the roadway and there will no parking on Edward Foster Road at any time. Considering the large influx of persons and vehicles into the area, heavy traffic congestion can be expected. In an effort to provide citizens and insurance companies with the ability to obtain accurate and affordable crash reports as quickly as possible, our crash reports are now available for purchase online.  All online requests for crash reports can be made at GetCrashReports.com.

 

GetCrashReports.com charges a nominal convenience fee for this service which is added to the cost of the report.  Involved parties that do not wish to pay the convenience fee can still come to the police station and pay only the cost of the report.
